Underground Adventure surf camp Nemberela suits intermediate and advanced surfers, but first-time surfers will also find there the right waves. For first surfers will be demanding only that on the island isn’t any beach break (waves breaking over the sand). Therefore we recommend you surfing booties.

Surf trip will be held on a remote Indonesian island of Rote, who has waves from Indian Ocean, close to the fishing village called Nemberala, which is located near several surf spots, which suit for all levels of surfers.

Thanks to very consistent waves from the Indian Ocean that come from the south, you can enjoy surfing almost every day. Predominates wind direction is south west which is off-shore in Nemberela in case of on-shore wind we can pass to the other side of the island.

Surf camp take place at the end of the dry season in the mid-October to mid November in two 13-days 12 nights intervals, the waves are not that big at this time, (3 feet - 6 feet daily average) . Those who want to ride a massive waves, will have the opportunity, because proper swell usually comes within 10 days period.

Ending season is favorable due to less surfers and with luck we will be in the line up alone.Rote isn’t so crowded as other places in Indonesia like Bali and Lombok.

Nemberela small fishing village, which has become popular for tourists especially for surfers, thanks to quality and consistent waves.
This peaceful village where coconuts grow on the tree away from civilization, still has the slow life style despite tourism becoming popular and has kept its rural charm. Through the village there are cute pigs running who set off at low tide looking for food on the exposed reef. People are nice and friendly and don´t try to sell you something permanent like in Bali. Rather, it is sometimes a problem to get them to do something, or get from them an important information such as where the ferry goes etc.
English is not very usual languages for the villagers' so it is a good to learn some Indonesian phrases.
Thanks to surfer is in the village severak accommodation, some of them are close to the Western style, they are very expensive and the owner is not Indonesian. There are several homestay where you will be care with love . It is cheaper and has unforgettable charm and are just on the surf spots.
All accommodations are offered with ful l meals and you can get seafood or chicken, rice, noodles vegetables. Meals are ample and constant and very good. Just the stereotype you can entice to visit one of the two restaurants that are in the village. Where you can go for a beer or dinner and meet interesting people from the ranks of boaters , surfers and travellers.

If you are not fans of surfing, around the village is lined beautiful forgotten beaches suitable for bathing (especially on high tide) and snorkelling. To explore the surrounding area is best to borrow a bike, or bike.) it is possible to arrange a fishing tour or boat tour one of the deserted islands in the nearby. If you are fans of Kiteboarding, you will find the right wind around the Island as well

Accommodation is in bungalows 10 m close to the sea, directly opposite the main surf spot in Hotel Anugerah. Bungalows have fan, shower and toilet (western) and beds are provided with mosquito net.

In the hotel it is possible to buy sweets, beer (coldest beer in Nemberele), surf wax, sunscreen, etc.
In the village there are several general stores where you can buy basic hygiene and medical needs, and two restaurants.

Food is excellent and you won'tt be hungry for sure.

Breakfast: Coffee or tea, fruit, bread, scrambled eggs or sweet pancakes.
Lunch: Rice, noodles, seafood,fish and vegetable.
Dinner: Fish or chicken (pork, beef), vegetables, rice, noodles, sometimes chips.

1. day
In the morning Underground Adventure staff will pick you up in your hotel and take will you to the national airport. Departure to the West Timor capital Kupang, (The flight takes about 2.5 hours and you will get a little snack) where you will be picked up by Underground Adventure staff who will take to the hotel.

In the evening you can relax in the hotel or visit night market, where you can taste the goodness of Indonesia (mainly marine gifts). Please note of your digestive tract, and eat only properly cooked food.

2. day
Underground Adventure staff will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the port from which will go about 2 hours with speed boat to the island of Rote. From here about 1.5 hours by car to accommodation at the Hotel Anugerah), then lunch and an afternoon surfing the for impatient.

3. - 12. day
Program of surf camp on the island of Rote.

13. day
Morning ships from Rote to Kupang and then directly to the airport, return to Bali where will Undergound Adventure staff will pick you up and take you to your hotel.
